International Nuclear Law 2010 |

Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation will be organizing a national course on International Nuclear Law in AELB Headquarters, Selangor, Malaysia on 8 – 19 March 2010 with the support from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Course Objective
- the origins and uniqueness of nuclear law; - nuclear safety and prevention and management of nuclear accident; - protection against ionizing radiation; - transport of nuclear materials and fuel; - preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons; - physical protection of nuclear materials and installations; - management of spent fuel and radioactive waste; - liability and compensation for nuclear damage; and - international trade in nuclear material and equipment.
Classes include traditional lectures combined with discussion periods and case studies. The course is open to government officials, professionals and lecturers and is also open to participants from ASEAN and IAEA member states.
This Law school which will be held from the 8-19th of March 2010 at a tentative venue in Kuala Lumpur however is yet open for registration. As for that, further announcement will be updated at this website. |
